
As 2011 begins, it marks not only the end of the year; it also marks the end of a decade. Let’s look back at the top 10 country songs courtesy of billboard.com of the 2000-2010 decade!

Coming in at number ten is [lastfm]Steve Holy[/lastfm]” Good Morning Beautiful”. This single was released in July of 2001, and reached the number one spot on February 2nd, 2002. “Good Morning Beautiful” Spent 5 weeks at number one in 2002!
At number nine, we have [lastfm]Toby Keith[/lastfm]” As Good As I Once Was”. Toby’s single was released May 9th, 2005 and spent 6 weeks at number one on the billboard chart! It is also featured on the popular video game, “Karaoke Revolution Country”.

In at number 8 is [lastfm]Craig Morgan[/lastfm],” That’s What I Love About Sundays”. Craig’s single was released on November 1st, 2004 and spent 4 weeks as number one on the charts. This also was Craig Morgan’s first number one single. Craig Morgan recently preformed at KFROG’s first annual Christmas Show, and the crowd went wild when he sang this number one hit! 
Number 7 on the top country song’s of the 2000-2010 decade is [lastfm] Tim McGraw[/lastfm]” Live Like You Were Dying”. McGraw’s single was released on August 24, 2004. It debuted at number 1 on the Billboard chart with over half a million record sales in its first week! This single also won a Grammy in 2005 for “Best Country Vocal Performance Male” and “Best Country Album”.

“Ain’t Nothin ’Bout You” by [lastfm]Brooks and Dunn[/lastfm] is number 6! Released on February 12th, 2001, it hit its peak at number one on the charts, and was nominated for a CMA for”Single of the Year” in 2001.

At number 5, it’s none other than [lastfm]Kenny Chesney[/lastfm] and “The Good Stuff”. Kenny’s hit was released May 6th, 2002 and became Kenny’s 5th number one hit. It lasted 7 weeks at number one, which made it his first longest lasting number one!

Number 4 is [lastfm]Toby Keith[/lastfm]again, and his catchy hit, “How Do You Like Me Now?!” Although it was released on November 2nd, 1999, it became number one for 5 weeks in 2000. His album” How Do You Like Me Now?!” went on to become platinum!

At number 3, we have the duet ” It’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere” by [lastfm]Alan Jackson[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Jimmy Buffett[/lastfm]. Released June 16th, 2003, it spent 8 non-consecutive weeks at Number One, and also won a CMA award in 2003 for “Vocal Event of the Year”.

The second best country song of the decade is” 19 Somethin’” by [lastfm] Mark Wills[/lastfm]. Released September 23rd, 2002, it spent 6 weeks on the charts and was Wills longest-lasting number one.

And coming in at number one, the best country song of the 2000-2010 decade, is [lastfm]Keith Urban[/lastfm] and his hit ” Somebody Like You”! It was released July 23rd, 2002 and spent 6 weeks at number one!
