DINE-N-DASH DURING TIP-A-COP
A New Mexico man is facing criminal charges after choosing the wrong time to dine and dash. Alan Golden was arrested last week after allegedly trying to leave an Applebee’s in Las Cruces without paying his 30-dollar bill. Unfortunately for Golden, all the restaurant’s servers and hosts happened to be law enforcement officers that night. They were there as part of the annual Tip-A-Cop fundraiser benefiting the state’s Special Olympics athletes, and were quickly able to apprehend Golden. He was charged with obtaining services less than 100-dollars and booked into a local detention center.
MONEY CAN’T BUY HAPPINESS
The author of a new book called “All the Money In The World” says money can’t buy happiness, generally speaking, but he did find out what does make us happy. One of the happiest thing for a person to do is treat a friend to lunch. He says spending money on others is one of the few proven ways money can bring us happiness. Plus he says your lunch date mostly likely will reciprocate, so you’ll get treated later.
