He’s back as a mentor in a new singing competition show, The Star Next Door, along with some other big named singers! John tweeted, “This is a TOTALLY new angle for music shows! (That’s why I did it!)”…”I think you’ll dig it.” How is it different?

According to theboot.com, The Star Next Door is scheduled to air this summer on the CW network, and so far, John Rich, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Queen Latifah[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Gloria Estefan[/lastfm] are the only mentioned mentors, but word has it more mentors will be announced at a later date. Here’s how the show will be different from the other singing competition shows; celebrity musicians will be traveling around from town to town looking for talented, aspiring singers to represent their hometowns in the big competition, which will take place in Los Angeles. Now here’s the twist, reportedly The Star Next Door contestants will have to be from the city in which they’re trying out, unlike American Idol, X Factor and The Voice.

That’s right John Rich is “Comin’ To Your City”, and your TV look for it this summer on the CW!
