The Frogmen Talk To Keith Urban About American Idol, The Catfight, And His Upcoming Tour

Keith Urban is in Long Beach for American Idol and since he was in town he decided to call the Frogmen and give them an update on how’s it going.

The biggest news to come out of American Idol this season is the big cat fight between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj, so we had to ask Keith what went down. Keith played pretty coy with his answer, but did say, “we’re 4 people on the dance floor stepping on each other’s toes.”

Aside from the judges, Keith said the audition were going well and that they’ve already sent “well over 200 people to Hollywood”. Keith talked about the cities they had already hit and the new addition of the audition bus in cities that the judges weren’t in.

Keith Urban recently announced his upcoming 2013 tour with a really cool video, so we had to give him kudos for it. ever so humbly he replied that “it’s an Oscar contender”. The video features his soon to be opening acts, Little Big Town and Dustin Lynch, in a car with him singing various songs. When they were picking the songs Keith said, they were looking for songs that “you would never hear” any of them singing.
