Thomas Rhett is coming to town tonight (Feb. 5th) at the Brandin’ Iron Saloon in San Bernardino. He caught up with the Frogmen while he as in California to talk about the show and the controversy around his latest hit “Beer With Jesus”.
Thomas will be joining Jason Aldean out on the road this year, but he says he still likes to perform at smaller clubs and venues. Get ticket and info to Thomas’ show tonight HERE.
Even though Thomas is a newlywed he’ll be spending his first Valentine’s Day as a married couple apart from his wife. Thomas will be doing a show with Miranda Lambert on Valentine’s Day, but he’s prepared to make it up to his wife. “We’re going to celebrate the day before,” Thomas said. He even has the day planned with a couple massage, dinner, and he said he’ll also “buy her a useless teddy bear.” How romantic!
Thomas’ latest hit, “Beer With Jesus” didn’t sit well with some fans and it ended up being a bit of a controversial song for him. “If there was an award at the ACMs for the most controversial song of the year, I think we would definitely win it.” Although no one has told Thomas to his face about their dislike of his song, he said, “You can look at my Twitter page and you can find some classic comments.” Not wanting to put fuel on the fire Thomas said he does his best not to respond.
