HORSE MEAT SCANDAL
There is a food scandal in Great Britain. Investigators have found that various foods like lasagna, hamburger, and other products contained horse meat. Investigators believe that Italian and Polish mafias are behind the meat scandal. In some cases the investigators believe that it might not even be horse meat, but donkey meat.
NO MORE ROMANTIC FORTUNE COOKIES
The largest fortune cookie maker says that they will remove all romantic message from their cookies after receiving complaints. ”Some parents sent us emails. They said they didn’t want their kids reading them,” said Derrick Wong, a vice president at Wonton Food. Some of the discontinued messages include, ”One who admires you greatly is hidden before your eyes” and “The evening promises romantic interest”. The company’s general rule is that if a fortune received more that 2 or 3 complaints they stop using them. To replace the romantic message, the company will issue fortunes reading, “You make everyday special” and “No one on Earth is as beautiful as you.”
