Trace Adkins, a Northern Louisiana native, took some time off from “Just Fishin” on the riverside to perform live at the Stagecoach Country Music Festival for the second time.
He was clearly excited to be performing, but also affected by the loss of country legend George Jones.
Watch him talk about it in the video below:
Speaking about George Jones, Trace was “at a loss for words” when he was woken up by the phone call this morning, but this afternoon, he shared a great story about heading to George’s house to prepare for a baby shower. Trace has “too many stories to tell,” but summed him up as a “great guy” and a “special person”.
Adkins is a country singer at heart, but his latest project is being a finalist once again on the show All-Star Celebrity Apprentice. The charity he represents is the American Red Cross. The Frogmen went on to ask about Celebrity Apprentice and got his take on Gary Busey, Donald Trump, and the other celebrities.
For Trace, he’s taking it pretty seriously. “I want to win this thing,” and so far he has raised a huge amount of money for The American Red Cross.
He has kept a good perspective through working with some pretty famous and creative people. He introduced himself to the others by saying “I’m not going to put up with any of this prima donna crap”
He also shared some fantastic stories about his habit of posting interesting pics on his Twitter account @TraceAdkins.
