This week on the ‘The Voice’, both Blake Shelton and Shakira teamed up for a marvelous rendition of Lady Antebellum’s ‘Need You Now. This was the first time Shelton and Shakira performed a duet since Shakira joined the cast this season.
With Shakira’s unique voice, she put on a jaw dropping performance and proved that she can ‘twang’ to country music without a problem. She is truly an all-around artist. Blake Shelton on the other hand had little more to do than support her lead while strumming his guitar. Both Blake Shelton and Shakira are judges/coaches on the show ‘The Voice.” They are joined by co-judges Adam Levine and Usher, who collaborated the night before with a performance of Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition.” The main draw of the audience is figuring out favorites between judges and their respective genres. It is always nice to see the judges step out of their comfort zones, cross-over into foreign formats and lead as shining examples for their aspiring contestants.
