If you love country music, there’s a good chance that at some point, you’re going to want to check out a country bar. If you aren’t sure where to start, or just want a guide for your bucket list, here are my picks for the 10 Best Country Bars in Southern California (and then some). In alphabetical order, they are:
Brandin’ Iron (San Bernardino) – This is where Christy McLeap met her husband! Lessons on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays; Family Day Sundays; College Night Wednesdays, that famous mechanical bull, and WORLD-famous DJ Dave.
Cowboy Country (Long Beach) – With three dance floors, you’ve got PLENTY of room to dance. Plus, two bars, a kitchen, and dance lessons on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
In Cahoots (Fullerton) – Newly remodeled with an additional bar and dance floor, Country Nights are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Fridays. Go on Friday (21 and over), and check out one of the few female country DJs, Lauren. If you go on Wednesday (18 and over), make sure DJ Kevin is behaving himself.
The Maverick (Norco) – Karaoke, pool, and line dancing!
Montana’s (San Dimas) – Doors open at 6pm Fridays and Saturdays, but get there before 9pm for $5 cover.
The Ranch (Anaheim) – A restaurant, a saloon, a dancehall – The Ranch is all of that.
The Saddle Sore (Norco) – Located in Horse Town, USA, nothing says country like having hitching posts to tie your horse up when you arrive. YES, THAT REALLY HAPPENS HERE. Open every day at 11am, so a great place for lunch, or night life.
Stampede (Temecula) – Country nights on Fridays and Saturdays, with a HUGE dance floor and mechanical bull.
Water Wheel (Norco) – Another Horse Town watering hole that you can ride your horse up to. Happy Hour from 5pm – 7pm on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and all day on Sundays.
