Frankie Ballard Shakes Up Friday Night

Friday night, Frankie Ballard brought the party to Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar in Rancho Cucamonga. In true California spirit, we welcomed him with open arms and “quakey floors.” While recording an interview with Pepper, Frankie experienced his first Earthquake. But a 5.1 on the Richter Scale was not going to put a damper on this night of festivities.

The line at the door wrapped far beyond the building, as 600+ fans were eager to see Frankie. Fans from Northern California, Los Angeles, and everywhere in between knew they were in for a good show in such an intimate venue.

The crowd exploded as Frankie Ballard took the stage. With a guitar in his hand and the band by his side, they performed a wide range of songs off his new album “Sunshine and Whiskey”. You could feel the energy in the room when Ballard and his fans jumped around singing “I’m Thinking Country” and his new single “Sunshine and Whiskey”. He definitely played to the crowd, even pulling a girl on stage who recently went through heartbreak. Buying her a drink and serenading her with his song “Tell Me You Get Lonely”.

Looking for his youngest fan, he found an 18-year-old girl and asked her if she heard of Waylon Jennings or Willie Nelson. When she replied yes, Frankie laughed said “Okay good, there is hope for the future!” He continued with a rocking cover of Waylon Jennings’s “Good Hearted Woman.”

At one point, Frankie took a break from singing and showed the crowd his secret talent. Not only could he sing and play guitar, he was also incredible on the drums!

He ended the night with his songs “Drinky Drink” and No.1 hit “Helluva Life”. Thanking the crowd, he told them “I’d love to meet each and every one of you, come by the merch table and meet me after the show.”
