5 Movies to Watch With Your Family This Holiday Season

Curling up near the fireplace (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire, anyone?) watching your favorite holiday film with your loved ones is definitely high on the Holiday To-Do List this year.

With a plethora of holiday films out there,  it may be impossible to choose just one.

We’ve picked the brains of our loyal staffers here and have made the task of selecting a holiday favorite a bit easier for you. Here’s our five favorite holiday films to watch with your family:

Jingle All the Way – 1996

This 1996 family comedy Christmas movie will have your whole family laughing from start to finish. Arnold Schwarzenegger plays Howard Langston, a father who is set out for the impossible as he tries to bring home a Turbo Man figure for his son.  Parents will relate as they watch Howard do the unthinkable to bring home the one gift his son asked for.


National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation – 1989

The modern Christmas classic meets the Griswold family. If you’re familiar with the Griswold family, then you know their adventures usually lead to disasters.  This holiday season they’ve decide to play it safe by staying at home and having all the family stay with them.  It wouldn’t be a Griswold movie without a couple unexpected plans to occur.  We promise this movie will be fun for the whole family.


The Santa Clause -1994

The North Pole will always be remembered as the home of Tim Allen, Santa Claus.  When a father’s son is faced with the decision to believe or not believer in Santa Clause, Tim Allen is faced with the role that changes his sons life forever. The perfect Christmas movie to share with your family.


Home Alone -1990

A child’s dream comes true, when he is left home alone for the holidays.  This classic comedy shows the real meaning of Christmas while giving you a suspenseful thrill.


Elf – 2003

A man raised as an elf is sent home to rekindle his relationship with his father in New York City.
