10 Date Night Spots in the Inland Empire

As the countdown to Valentines Day begins, you may be wondering to do with your special sweetie.  The Inland Empire offers many romantic spots for you to take your valentine with a wide range of price points.

The Historic Mission Inn, Riverside

Located in the heart of downtown Riverside, The Mission Inn offer a variety of restaurants.  If you are into the spicier side of life, you can try Las Companas which offers authentic Mexican cuisine and a outdoor patio which offers an amazing view of the hotel through the expansive pergola.

If Italian is more your style, dine al fresco at Bella Trattoria while watching the people go by on the Main Street pedestrian mall.  Should your preference be steak, don’t miss Duane’s Prime Steak and Seafood located on the main floor of the hotel.

Call ahead for reservations, as all of these establishments offer amazing cuisine and will fill up quickly.

Joe’s Sushi, Riverside

Off Van Buren Blvd in Riverside, Joe’s offers a rock n’roll atmosphere to accompany its all you can eat Sushi at a fair price.  Joe’s has become very popular so we suggest you get here early.

If you find yourself having to wait, it is possible to order drinks and the service and quality is totally worth it.

Mount Rubidoux, Riverside

If a smaller scale more intimate evening is what you are after, grab your sweetie and plan for a picnic atop Mount Rubidoux in Riverside.  There is a bit of a hike involved in getting to the summit, but Mt. Rubidoux offers two ways to get to the top.  For the less adventurous, the front side has the reputation for being “easier”.  Take your time and take in the rolling vistas of downtown Riverside and the surrounding cities.  If your arrive early enough in the evening, you should be able to watch the sun set on your romantic valentines evening.

The Sycamore Inn, Rancho Cucamonga

Historic Route 66 plays host to The Sycamore Inn offering over 40 wines by the glass.  Their website menu offers Souffles, Steaks, Prime Rib, and Rack of Lamb. Established in 1848, The Sycamore Inn has been a mainstay for romantic rendezvous.    

Wood Ranch BBQ and Grill, Corona

Wood Ranch is bursting with good old fashion BBQ flavor.  This popular dinning spot in Dos Lagos boosts of “Superb Food at Moderate Prices.” Wood Ranch offers a Take-Out option as well, if you are looking to wine and dine your sweetie at home without all the fuss and mess of cooking.

The State, Redlands

Located on East State Street in Redlands, offers Happy Hour every day from 2-6 p.m and has extensive Beer List, Kitchen and Whiskey menus as well as offering Brunch from 10 – 2 pm on Sundays.

With items such as the Mac n’ Cheese Skillet, The State Burger or the Pesto Chicken Sandwich there is certain to be something here to tantalize the taste buds of both you and your sweetie.

Wine Tasting, Temecula

Wine Tasting in Temecula is always a great way to spend Valentines Day. The Temecula Valley offers a wide array of wineries offering flights to suit your fancy.

Wilson Creek Winery & Vineyard, Danza del Sol Winery, South Coast Winery Resort & Spa are just a few of the wineries that await you in this thriving wine community.

After your tasting is done, buy a bottle of your favorite spirit and grab a view of the hot air balloons as they rise above the skyline.

It probably goes without saying but, make sure to call ahead to all of the aforementioned (with the exception of Mt. Rubidoux, of course) to see if reservations are necessary for Valentine’s Day.
