The demand for blood donations is on the rise after the horrific mass shooting in Orlando this past Sunday. According to the San Bernardino Sun and Lifestream, the city of Orlando contacted the blood bank in San Bernardino and asked for help, unfortunately there is a local shortage.
Lifestream is the Inland Empire’s local blood bank that serves San Bernardino and Riverside counties. Lifestream has helped other areas in our country before during times of disaster.
Lifestream spokesman Don Escalante said, “The need for blood is enormous,” “We’re asking people to please come out. They can honor those victims by donating, and they can save lives at the same time as well.”
Donate at your local LifeStream blood donor center, there’s locations in San Bernardino, Riverside, Ontario, Victorville and La Quinta.
