40 Acres Burned – Reservoir Fire In Angeles National Forest Above Azusa

An automobile crash sparked a brush fire in the Angeles National Forest and so far an estimated 40 acres burned Monday, June 20th, according to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.Reservoir

Richard Licon a Los Angeles County Fire Inspector said around 11am a call came in as a traffic collision with a vehicle that went over the road on Highway 39 near Morris Dam.

As of now no structures seem to be currently threatened.

Los Angeles County Firefighters and the U.S. Forest Service are battling the blaze on the ground and are also using the assistance of helicopters.
