Update: San Gabriel Complex – Fish Fire & Reservoir Fire Burn 15% Containment

San Gabriel Complex Fire (Also known as the Fish fire and Reservoir Fire)

As of 10:25am Thursday, June 23rd, the Los Angeles County Firefighters and Sheriff’s Deputies and  a myriad of other folks continue to battle the San Gabriel Complex Fire. An estimated 5235 acreshas burned and the fire is currently 15 percent contained.

As for evacuations and re-entry residents affected by the second fire, the “Fish Fire” portion of the “San Gabriel Complex” are able to return to their homes.

At 12:00PM, a number of residents who live in area of Duarte, the Las Lomas area of the city will be allowed to return home. This re-entry will be for residents with ID only and deputies will be checking to see if folks wanting to get in the area actually reside there.

The re-entry area includes evacuees from the Vineyard Avenue up to Willowglen Drive, Las Lomas Road up to Willowglen Drive, and Woodbluff Avenue to Starpine Drive.

Live stock will NOT be allowed back into the area yet. A 24 hour wait is requested to bring animals back after the residents return home.

Also there wont be any access for large vehicles, like trailers, RV’s, horse trailers or any other oversized vehicle. They will not be allowed to enter the area because fire officials still have large vehicles traveling along those streets and need the space of the roads.

Small pets are ok to return, such as dogs and cats.

Residents who live north of Willowglen Drive in the Las Lomas area in the city of Duarte are still under evacuation.

Alos if you live in the Mesa Area in the city of Duarte you are still under evacuation. This includes Mount Olive Drive north of Woodlyn Lane, Spinks Canyon, Rim Road, Golden Meadow Drive, and High Mesa Drive.

There is a Red Cross Evacuation Center set up at the Duarte Community Center, located at 1600 Huntington Drive, Duarte or call (626)357-7931.
