372K Pounds Of Hot Dogs & Corn Dogs Recalled Due To Listeria Fear

You might want to check your refrigerator as more than 372,000 pounds of hot dogs and corn dogs are being recalled due to concerns that they could be contaminated with listeria.

Listeria can make you very sick, causing fevers, muscle aches, and sometimes nausea or diarrhea. It primarily affects pregnant women newborns, older adults and adults with weakened immune systems.

According to The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Bar-S Foods based in Alstus, Oklahoma is recalling five chicken and pork products that they believe have the potential of being contaminated with listeria.

The USDA has stated that the company has yet to receive all their test results, but since Bar-S Foods has had recurring listeria issues they have decided to go ahead and recall the items.

The recalled items are:

-Bar-S bun-length and classic franks made with chicken and pork,

-Bar-S classic corn dogs

-Signature Pick 5 corn dogs

The hot dogs and corn dogs were made between July 10 and 13 of this year.

As of yet, the government says there haven’t been any reports of illness due to the products.
