Big Number Of Dead & Starving Pit Bulls Found In A Riverside Co. Home

Yesterday so sad and disturbing news came out of Riverside County.  It’s unimaginable and disgusting to me that someone would do something like this.

According to Riverside County authorities, 11 dead animals and 27 others were discovered in the unincorporated La Sierra area. The animals were found in a nasty and junk-strewn rented property.

A neighbor contacted authorities after a smelling a foul odor coming from the property. The living dogs that were found were skin and bones and severely malnourished and were so weak that they couldn’t even be walked out on a leash. Those dogs have been impounded.

All the dogs were transported to the San Jacinto Valley Animal Campus.

It appears the dead animals died from starvation or exposure.

It’s believed that the owner/owners may have possibly been an unlicensed breeder. When the responsible party is found they could face animal cruelty charges.

CBS2 has more on the story.
