Bloodhound Helps San Bernardino Co. Sheriff’s Find Kidnapped Girl

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department a bloodhound has helped deputies find a kidnapped 16-year-old girl who was taken by an 18 year old teenage boy in Twin Peaks this past Monday, July 25th.

Gil Flores, public information officer for the Sheriff’s Department said that around 1:15 a.m. Monday morning the girl’s grandmother called 911 and asked for help as her granddaughter was being kidnapped by the 18 year-old, Logan Padberg.

A neighbor on Lake Forest Drive reported seeing “a male holding a flashlight and dragging a female off into the woods by her hair,” and called 911.

Deputy Jay Bailey said, “With the help of Déja, the bloodhound, we were able to locate some evidence or some scent articles on scene.”

Within minutes, the bloodhound tracked the victim to a home in the 26000 block of Boulder Lane, where the girl was found inside.

Deputies then arrested Logan Padberg. The 18 year-old faces a series of charges, including of course kidnapping, domestic battery and unlawful sex with a minor.
