CID is a regional recreation center that focuses on providing recreation programs for people with disabilities. Opened in October of 1980, it is a 15,000 square foot one story building. The original name of the CID was “Center for Individuals with Disabilities.” In 1996, the CID Advisory Council recommended that the name be changed, it was felt that the acronym “CID” had become well known in the community, so a name was chosen that kept the acronym. CID serves people with the following disabilities. Recently they were vandalized, their building damaged and the props and tools for their Halloween haunted house stolen.
