New Survey Shows California Schools Ranked Toward The Bottom Nationally

It’s that time of year. Time for the kids to head back to school. It’s also time to find out how schools rank nationally.

The school systems in all 50 states and the District of Columbia were analyzed and California is in “the back of the class.”

According to CBS Los Angeles, WalletHub a personal finance site, evaluated “17 key metrics,” that included student-teacher ratio, dropout rates and students’ average SAT and ACT scores.

The evaluation stated that California, which is one of the largest states in the USA, has the country’s highest pupil-to-teacher ratio. California students reading test scores also came in as fifth-worst.

As for quality of education, well…California ranked 38th overall and 35th in school safety.

Let’s hope our schools and teachers get more money, support and help in the future so our children can get the quality of education they deserve.
