If mamas shouldn’t let their babies grow up to be cowboys then perhaps “country singer” is a viable alternative. Carrie Underwood shared audio of her little boy Isaiah singing along to her 2015 single “Heartbeat,” off her album Storyteller, and the 18-month-old seems like he’s inherited his mom’s vocal power.
Underwood shared the video on Instagram Sunday (September 11), which only featured audio. In it, Underwood can be heard prompting Isaiah with lines from the song. He mimics her voice in places, and in others does his own thing, but he’s got some serious power to those lungs. “Audio only…my sweet boy singing his little heart out,” she wrote. “This is the most beautiful sound in the world!”
Isaiah isn’t the first country singer’s child to show off some vocal talent. Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott brought out her daughter Eisele Kaye during one of their shows in August, and the little girl sang her ABC’s for the gathered audience.
Will Isaiah have a future as Underwood’s newest singing partner? We think the odds are pretty good for more to come.
