According to CHP officials, a SigAlert was initiated Friday afternoon after a man reportedly jumped to his death from the top of the southbound 15 Freeway onto the 10 Freeway in Ontario.
The San Bernardino Sun reports Sgt. Chris Young said just before 1 p.m., “We confirmed the person did jump and the coroner is en route.”
According to the department’s incident log, right around 12:30 p.m. the California Highway Patrol dispatch center received calls with reports that a man was lying near the center divider in the fast lane of the westbound side of the 10 Freeway.
Officials said that initial reports show the man jumped from the 15 freeway overpass in Ontario and that a gray SUV spotted on the 15 freeway just might belong to the man.
Sgt. Chris Young said, “That is still under investigation.”
If was a bit more than a month ago that 55 year-old Carol Colene Pulice, a Victorville woman, who was an Apple Valley High School counselor jumped to her death at the same location.
Authorities were not able to confirm or comment if the incidents are related in any way.
