Be prepared…as part of the Interstate 10 Pepper Avenue Interchange Project in Colton, there will be full nighttime closures starting Monday, November 7th.
Starting Monday, November 7th through Thursday, November 10th the west and eastbound side of the I-10 at Pepper Avenue will be closed from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly. Something to keep in mind as possibly prepare for, if needed these closures may be prolonged to Sunday, November 13 and Monday, November 14 from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
While these closures are in effect, traffic will be diverted to the Pepper Avenue off-ramps and across the Pepper Avenue bridge before reconnecting back to Interstate 10. Be watchful, as there will be flagging crews in place to help facilitate traffic flow since the traffic signals at the end of each ramp will not be working.
From the eastbound I-10 off-ramp to northbound Pepper Avenue, flagging will be provided by construction crews for emergency vehicles needing to get to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and for other emergency-related destinations. While all other traffic will be directed to the next ramp.
There will also be nighttime closures Sunday, November 6th from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. of both directions of the I-10. Since there will be one lane open on each side of the 10 during this closure there will be no detour in place.
More closures scheduled for Saturday, November 5 at 4 p.m. to Monday, November 7 at 4 a.m. These scheduled closures will be at the westbound I-10 off-ramp and on-ramp and Pepper Avenue between eastbound ramps to Valley Boulevard.
