4 Alarm Fire Friday Morning At Pallet Yard In San Bernardino Could Be Arson

Authorities say a four-alarm fire early Friday morning at a San Bernardino pallet yard is suspected to be arson.

San Bernardino County fire spokesman Jeff Allen said that just before 4 a.m. Friday morning a fire was reported in the 1200 block of South Mountain View.

CBS Los Angeles reports at about 6 a.m. the flames were pronounced knocked down.  Reportedly about an acre of wooden pallets were ablaze when the fire was at it’s peak.

Multiple agencies responded the the blaze with more than 100 firefighters working to put the fire out.

Authorities are suspecting arson, since Friday morning’s fire was the latest in a string of recent fires reported in industrial centers around the Inland Empire.

A strip mall next door was also affected as the flames had spread to eight businesses in the shopping center. But, thankfully there was minimal damage reported at those businesses.
