It’s important to honor our military every day of the year, but particularly on Veterans Day. Here are some of the best places in Southern California where you can do just that:
Riverside National Cemetery: Donate your time this Thursday (November 10th) starting at 2pm and help place a “Flag for Every Hero” on every gravesite at the cemetery. Then on Friday (November 11th), their Veterans Day Ceremony will take place at 11am.
Field of Valor in Orange: View 1,776 flags at Handy Park, 10am-6pm. The Closing Ceremonies/Veterans Day Celebration this Friday, November 11th.
16th Annual Veterans Day Celebration and Parade in the City of San Bernardino: Friday, November 11th 11am-12:30pm at La Plaza Park on Mt. Vernon between 7th Street and Victoria Avenue.
City of Victorville Veterans Day Parade and Freedom Mile Run: Friday, November 11th. Register for the run (it’s free!) starting at 8:15am. The parade starts at 9am at Tracy and 7th Streets, followed immediately by the Veterans Day Ceremony, which will include personal recognition for over 70 Victorville veterans.
Palm Springs Veterans Day Parade: Friday, November 11th 3:30pm-5pm. The parade begins at Ramon Road and Palm Canyon Drive and heads north to Palm Canyon and Alejo Road, concluding with a patriotic concert and fireworks finale.
