Early Friday morning fire crews worked feverishly to extinguish an explosive third-alarm fire that erupted at another pallet yard, this time in Perris.
Right around 3 a.m. the blaze was reported near North Webster Avenue and West Ramona Expressway, according to Riverside County firefighters.
CBS Los Angeles reported that as fire crews arrived on scene they immediately located flames burning pallets within a half-acre radius.
According to firefighters there multiple explosions that occurred from propane that was in the pallet compound.
The fire closed the closure of Ramona Blvd/Ramona Expressway between Webster Avenue and Perris Blvd.
The fire burned two power poles and Southern California Edison crews have been requested to the scene to repair those.
Reportedly at this time no structures have been threatened by the fire, and the immediate cause of the fire is still under investigation.
