Move over eggs and bacon, ice cream could now be the best thing you could eat for breakfast. Well, mentally at least.
Japanese scientist, Yoshihiko Koga, has discovered that people who eat ice cream in the morning can become smarter and reduce mental irritation, according to Daily Mail.
Koga tested two groups of subjects, one who had a normal breakfast and the other who had ice cream. The group that was given ice cream was better at at processing information and showed faster reaction times.
Koga believes that the ice cream eaters were sent into high alert by the ice creams freezing temperature, heightening their alertness.
So next time mom says no ice cream for breakfast, you now have a very valid excuse.
