Cancer Survivor Who Sang with Garth Brooks Is Now Recording An Album

Perhaps you saw the viral video of Danielle El-Jor, the cancer survivor who got her big break last month when Garth Brooks brought her on stage. Well now she’s making an album.

El-Jor is working on a four song demo that she plans on sending to Nashville for a record deal.

Brooks introduced the Virginia native to the Richmond Coliseum during his World Tour earlier this year. She was planning to audition for “The Voice,” but missed her chance because she was battling stage 3 Hodgkin’s disease.

Everyone is rooting for El-Jor, even her idol Carrie Underwood.

“Everything’s been so quick. I mean Carrie Underwood tweeted me and then she shared it on her Facebook page,” El-Jor told CBS 6 in Virginia. “Never in a million years did I think my idol, Carrie Underwood, would watch me sing.”

El-Jor is hoping to have her album released by Christmas.
