Flue Season Gearing Up For A Late Start

Flu season may be coming late this year and it could be big. We had Dr. Max Ohikhuare with the San Bernardin County Health Department on to give us tips on how to prevent getting infected with the flu virus and how to treat the virus in the event you become infected.

We also talked about the recent outbreaks of Tuberculosis and Meningitis in Southern California. Should we be concerned, what precautions should we take. He urged everyone to get a flu shot.

He also recommended those with an infection to seek medical attention at an urgent care center ratherĀ  than an emergency room. The level of care is just as high and it keeps emergency rooms clear for real emergencies.
