“When I look back at 2016, it’s definitely been a big year,” Jennifer admits in a statement from her label. “I put out Playing with Fire. I think that, for me, was such a huge accomplishment, because people fear change, and especially in an industry that is very fickle and can switch its allegiance on the, not only, turn of a dime, but see the fresh new thing.
“For me to have gone solo a few years ago was a big courageous step for me, and I needed to do it as an artist, and I have found it so artistically fulfilling. So, for me to get to put out a second solo album was a big accomplishment for me,” she adds.
“And then, to be a part of the second movie that I was a part of with ‘Christmas of Many Colors,’ that was a wonderful project as well,” she continues. “I was on tour. I went on tour for Playing with Fire, so it’s been a busy year.
“And also got my son in preschool! So, you know, so crazy! So, it’s been a big year and a rewarding year as well, and I just want to continue evolving in all those ways that I’ve been able to diversify, in terms of my acting, both TV and film, and on the Broadway stage.”
