Get ready for some more 91 roadwork. There’ll be nighttime closures of the eastbound 91 lanes and ramps between the 71 and the 15, Wednesday and Thursday, February 15th and 16th.
It’s continuing roadwork that’s part of the Riverside County Transportation Commission’s (RCTC) 91 Project. Work crews are going to be re-striping eastbound 91 nightly, in two sections, between the 71 and the 15 on February 15 and 16.
Alternating lane closures on the outside and inside lanes of eastbound 91 and closed ramps are to be expected. Lengthy delays are to be expected during these two nights too. If possible you are urged to use alternate routes.
Keep in mind that lane reductions will start about 1-2 hours before the 10 pm lane closures.
So, on Wednesday, February 15, from 10 pm to 5 am the Eastbound side of the 91 from Lincoln Avenue to the 15 will have alternating closures from 10 pm to approximately 3 am. During this closure the eastbound outside lanes and all eastbound on and off-ramps will be closed within the work area. You can enter the eastbound 91 at Paseo Grande, also you can take the 15 to eastbound 91. Outside lanes and ramps will open after 3 am, and the inside lanes will then close until about 5 am.
Then on Thursday night, February 16, from 10 pm to 5 am, the Eastbound side of the 91 from the 71 to Lincoln Avenue will have alternating lane closures between the 71 and the 15. All eastbound on-and off-ramps, the outside lanes and the southbound 71 to eastbound 91 connector will be closed within this area between 10 pm to approximately 3 am. You may enter the 91 at Lincoln Avenue. Again the ramps, outside lanes, and the connector will open after 3 am, and the inside lanes will then close until about 5 am.
You are asked to please follow all posted detour signs. Make sure you allow yourself extra travel time and if possible check real-time traffic information using IE511.org.
