Police Arrest Victorville Man For Setting Fire to Ex-Girlfriend’s Home

Tuesday, February 21, 2017, authorities responded to the report of a house fire in the 15500 block of Fifth Street, Victorville.

Victorville Police responded and found there wasn’t anyone in the the house. The Victorville Fire Department also responded to put out the fire.

A release stated that while on scene, deputies were given information that Manuel Rodriguez, the homeowner’s ex-boyfriend, was upset with her and was at the residence trying to gain entry. Police then detained the suspect at the scene.

Deputies did a records check and discovered the suspect also had an outstanding warrant from another county.  After more investigating, the suspect was then arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for arson.
