The accounting firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers, who tallies the votes for the Oscars has taken responsibility for the Best Picture flub and it looks like there are going to be some consequences.
The two accountants that brought the briefcases with the winning envelopes will not be invited back. Brian Cullinan and Martha Ruiz were in charge of delivering the envelopes and handing the correct one to the presenters. That was problem when Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway were handed the wrong envelope and consequently announced the wrong winner for Best Picture.
Brian really came under fire after it came to light that he was tweeting backstage just minutes before the mix up. Both Cullinan and Ruiz are still partners at the firm, but no longer welcomed at the Oscars.
