Crayola Announces What Color Crayon in the 24-Pack is Going Bye-Bye Forever [Spoiler]

Crayola is retiring a specific crayon color from its 24-pack collection, making it the first time a color has been retired since 2003.

Crayola announced the news on Twitter yesterday, a day ahead of their scheduled announcement, which was supposed to be today (Friday) in honor of National Crayon Day.

In the tweet, Crayola said: “Our beloved Dandelion decided to announce his retirement early! There’s no taming an adventurous spirit! #NationalCrayonDay”.

It’s been a good run dandelion.  You’ve been a good dark yellow shade in the classic 24-crayon box, and we’ll never forget you.

The company hasn’t yet announced which crayon will replace dandelion, but an announcement is expected soon.
