Stagecoach Behind the Artist: Dierks Bentley

Dierks Bentley will be coming to Indio for the Stagecoach Country Music Festival and this is one show you do not want to miss.  

The thirteen-time GRAMMY nominee hails with 25 hit singles and has spent the last decade recording music and touring the country.

The Phoenix, Arizona, native has had a stellar rise to fame since his first album dropped in 2003 with What Was I Thinkin’The single quickly rose to number one on the Billboard charts, helping his self-titled album reach Platinum.

In 2005, his sophomore album, Modern Day Drifter, again reached Platinum status with such memorable hits as “Settle For A Slow Down”, “Come A Little Closer”, and “Lot of Leavin’ Yet To Do”.

It was also in 2005 that Bentley was invited to join the Grand Ole Opry and is the third youngest inductee, behind Carrie Underwood and Josh Turner, to date.  

The Long Trip Alone, which was released in 2006, again earned high marks with two number one hits, “ Every Mile a Memory” and “Free and Easy (Down The Road I Go).”  

Not one to rest on his laurels, in 2008, Bentley released Greatest Hits/Every Mile A Memory 2003-2008, followed by 2009’s Feel That Fire.

2010 saw the release of Bentley’s sixth album, Up On The Ridge, and then in 2012, he released his seventh album, Home, which was responsible for landing Bentley back in the number one spot with “Am I The Only One”, followed by the title track, “Home” and then “5-1-5-0”.

Drunk On A Plane is arguably the most notable single off of Bentley’s eighth album, Riser. Not only did the single hit number one on the country charts, it also hit number 27 on Billboard Hot 100 that year.

Black, Bentley’s most recent album, was named after his wife, Cassidy Black. The first two singles off of Black, “Somewhere on a Beach” and “Different For Girls”, both rose quickly on the country radio charts.  

Bentley is currently on his What the Hell world tour.
