According to police, a coach for the Garden Grove High School girls’ junior varsity basketball team was arrested Monday for allegedly asking a young 15-year-old girl to use social media to send him provocative photos.
CBS Los Angeles reports that Garden Grove police Sgt. Ray Bex said that 51 year-old Michael Engelmann, of Anaheim, was arrested at the school Monday around 1:30 p.m.
Police say that Engelmann was booked on a felony count of communicating with a minor to elicit child pornography. He was reportedly being held on bail of $100,000 and was scheduled to appear in court today, Wednesday, April 26th.
According to Garden Grove police Sgt. Ray Bex, the school and district administrators were made aware of the situation and Engelmann was immediately put on leave.
