Bee Gees Music Sales Explode Following CBS Tribute

The CBS Stayin’ Alive: A Grammy Salute To The Music Of the Bee Gees on April 16th has led to their music sales increasing by almost 700%.

According to Billboard, the Bee Gees’ catalog of albums and digital tracks have sold over 80,000 copies in the week ending April 20th – compared to 11,000 the previous week – an increase of 669%.

The tribute was a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack, led by the Bee Gees. The broadcast included performances from Stevie Wonder, Tori Kelly, Demi Lovato, Keith Urban, Celine Dion, Little Big Town, Andra Day, Ed Sheeran, Panic! At the Disco, and more.

Barry Gibb, the last surviving member of the Bee Gees, was present for the taping of the show, performed “Stayin’ Alive” at the conclusion of the tribute.
