If you saw Thomas Rhett at Stagecoach on Sunday night, there shouldn’t be a doubt in your mind that he needs to headline this festival.
He kicked off the night with an electric rendition of “Crash and Burn” that had concertgoers hungry for more.
Plenty of people were wondering if fellow Stagecoach artist Maren Morris would stick around an extra day to help perform their latest duet “Craving You,” but with Morris absent, Rhett had no problem taking on the song solo.
This was Rhett’s second time playing Stagecoach, but with the way he owned the stage, you would have thought he was a seasoned veteran.
He continued his set with other crowd favorites like “Star of the Show,” “Get Me Some of That,” and the fastest, most fun rendition of “Vacation” that we’ve ever heard.
He thanked country radio for playing the heck out of the song “Die A Happy Man,” a ballad that he mentioned writing for his currently pregnant wife, Lauren.
Rhett really showcased his raw talent by showing off his drum skills during the intro of “T-Shirt” and wrapped up the evening by having the Indio crowd put their put their pinky rings up to the moon with his rendition of Bruno Mars’ “24k Magic.”
