A High Desert man was arrested by Victorville Police Department Detectives on accusations of continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14 that happened from 2012-2013.
32 year-old Victorville resident Nicholas Giles, who is also known as Nicholas Gary Burstein, was arrested Tuesday and then booked at the High Desert Detention Center in lieu of bail of $1 million. He’s also being accused of lewd and lascivious act with a child under the age of 14 and lascivious acts with a child, age specific.
CBS Los Angeles reports that authorities believe there may also be other victims.
Officers were dispatched to Kaiser Permanente following reports of a suspected vehicle burglary. After a verbal argument in the parking lot, deputies arrested Giles. It was determined later by officials that the suspect had an outstanding arrest warrant, after they discovered that there was in deed no burglary.
