5 Things to Do with Mom on Mother’s Day in Orange County

We all wanna make our Mom’s feel extra special on Mother’s Day, don’t we?  Mother’s Day is this Sunday, May 14th, and if you’re stuck on what to do to make your Mom feel extra special, we’ve compiled a list of some great places to take her to in Orange County.

A little day trip might be nice.  Not only to reconnect with Mom, but to acknowledge her special place in your heart.

Check out these 5 lovely locations in the OC:

Balboa Island Ferry – Does Mom like the smell of ocean air and a scenic trip around Balboa Island?  Check out the Balboa Island Ferry, which takes you around the Peninsula.  Hours of operation at 6:30am to 12am on Mother’s Day.

Mission San Juan Capistrano – Mom’s will love a tour of this historical mission, landmark and museum.  Pricing is generally $9 per adult with a free audio tour.

Crystal Cove State Park – a hidden gem in the OC, it’s chock full of open space, 3.2 miles of sandy beaches, wilderness and more.  Mom will definitely need a camera for this exquisite scenery.  It’s a California State Park with lots of great trails.  Hours are 6am to Sunset, and it’s just off PCH between Laguna Beach and Corona Del Mar.

Fashion Island – Located in Newport Beach, who doesn’t love boutiques and shopping?  Located at 401 Newport Center Drive, you’ll find shopping, dining and all of it, close to the ocean!

Dana Wharf Whale Watching and Sportfishing –  Take Mom on a tour of the ocean, and the most beautiful creatures occupying the sea… whales!  Different packages are available.  Visit website for info.

No matter what you do with your Mom this Sunday, you know that no matter what, she’ll say she’s just happy to spend time with YOU. Enjoy your day Moms!
