It was a perfect start to the 4th of July weekend as the MuscleKingz Car Show, Concert and Craft Beer Festival came to Norco on Saturday (July 1).
Thousands of country music fans and car enthusiasts came together at the beautiful SilverLakes Sports Complex and took in a full days worth of fun.
Knoxville, TN native Rodney Atkins got the crowd riled up by getting a huge “U-S-A” chant going and performing his biggest hits “These Are My People” and “Take A Back Road.”
There were plenty of dads in attendance, as this show made for the perfect Father’s Day gift for many, and it was only fitting that Atkins song “Watching You” was one of the loudest sung among concertgoers.
Dan + Shay provided plenty of fireworks once they took the stage and brought everybody to their feet. They led off the night with tunes from their latest album Obsessed, performing “All Nighter” and their first #1 radio hit “Nothing Like You.”
The duo showed off their cover skills as well with Bon Jovi’s “You Give Love A Bad Name” and The Killers “Mr. Brightside.” They also let the audience take lead vocals on their latest #1 single “How Not To.”
They wrapped things up with “19 You + Me” a song that they say “changed their lives” and thanked K-FROG for playing the heck out of it when it first came out.
Jackie Lee got the festivities going to start the day, highlighted by his cover of Fall Out Boy’s “Sugar, We’re Going Down” as he was followed by upcoming country artist and former Bachelorette contestant Luke Pell.
SilverLakes provided a perfect, family oriented venue that we can only hope will have more shows to come!
