Dixie Chicks Natalie Maines Files for Divorce After 17 Years of Marriage

The Fourth of July fireworks have come to an end and so has the marriage of Dixie Chicks lead singer Natalie Maines and Adrian Pasdar.

E! News reported over the weekend that  Maines has filed for divorce after 17 years of marriage because of irreconcilable differences.

She’s also asking for joint custody of the couple’s two boys who are 16 and 12.

The couple wed in Las Vegas back in June of 2000. They’ve managed to keep their romance out of the spotlight, but appeared in each others line of work over the years.

Pasdar played a cop in the music video for Dixie Chicks’ single “Goodbye Earl,” while Maines contributed a cover of “Amazing Grace” for her husband’s show Mysterious Ways.
