According to a city spokesman, on Saturday night some children found a dead body at Smiley Elementary School in Redlands.
The Press Enterprise reports that according to Carl Baker, a spokesman for the city and its police and fire departments, the man was a local resident who was in his early 70s.
The name of the deceased and how he died has yet to be released. Foul play doesn’t seem to be a factor, according to investigators.
Baker said it was around 5:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon when the body was discovered near the community garden adjacent to the elementary school located at 1210 W. Cypress Ave., Redlands.
