The latest craze to take over social media, while raising awareness for a good cause, is “The Flamingo Challenge,” and Big & Rich have jumped right on board!
In honor of their 70th Anniversary, Flamingo Las Vegas has teamed up with the American Cancer Society to launch the #FlamingoChallenge, in which those who are challenged take a picture or video of themselves mocking the pink bird and its famous one-legged pose and post it on social media. In turn, they nominate friends, family, and co-workers to do the same, with a 24-hour deadline to respond. If they don’t, they are expected to make a donation to the American Cancer Society.
The duo was initially challenged by Marie Osmond, who also called out the Backstreet Boys and Richard Marx.
It’s hoped that $70,000 will be raised for the American Cancer Society by October 31st, 2017.
Big & Rich will release their forthcoming album, Did It for the Party, on September 15th, just weeks before the sold-out Route 91 Harvest Festival, which the duo will perform at. Did It for the Party will include their latest single, “California.”
