Your glittery cell phone case may make your phone look super cute, but it could cause some serious problems for your skin.
MixBin Electronics, the company who makes those glittery cell phone cases, is recalling over 263,000 cases after reports of chemical burns and skin irritations.
Users reported that the liquid caused injuries after the case leaked or broke open.
According to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, “One consumer reported permanent scarring from a chemical burn and another consumer reported chemical burns and swelling to her leg, face, neck, chest, upper body and hands.”
The recall pertains to cases for the iPhone 6, 6s, and 7. The cases were sold online and at stores like Victoria’s Secret and Nordstorm Rack.
I have never seen a phone case recall prior to today. Apparently, these cases cause chemical burns to the users. I never stocked these cases, so I never sold them. (I have my reasons.) If you own one of the cases pictured, return it to the retailer you purchased it from. They should offer you a refund. I have no further details on these cases, as I do not sell them. 📱📱📱#thecaseplacela #screenprotectors #phonecases #iphone7plus #iphone7 #phoneaccessories #forsale #shipsnationwide #losangeles #smallbusiness #toryburch #victoriassecret #mixbin #henribendel #caserecall #recall #defective
