We have sad news to report: legendary singer/songwriter, Glen Campbell, has lost his battle to Alzheimers.
According to TMZ, Campbell died this morning around 10am in an Alzheimer’s patient facility in Nashville. He was 81.
Campbell is best known for his 1975 hit “Rhinestone Cowboy”.
He is revered in the country music format having released over 70 albums in his career.
He was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s back in 2011 and fought a courageous battle with the merciless disease.
He is the father of 8 children and is survived by those children and wife Kim Campbell.
