AMANDA BYNES ARRESTED

It has not been a good week for Amanda Bynes. Earlier this week she was banned from a private flight after trying to use Google as a form of  ID according to TMZ, because she didn’t have a government issued ID. Look at the bright side at least she didn’t pull the “Do you know who I am?” As you could expect the pilot didn’t accept Google as identification and she was denied access on the flight. Things got worse for the former Nickelodeon star last night. The NYPD has confirmed to E! News that Bynes was arrested last night. The problems started when Bynes was reportedly smoking marijuana in the lobby of her apartment. The building’s doorman called the cops to report Bynes. By the time the cops arrived Bynes had gone to her apartment. The officers went to her apartment. When Bynes opened the door, they noticed her bong, which she reportedly threw out the window. The cops also noticed smoke and the smell of marijuana. She was arrested and booked on charges of reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence, and criminal possession of marijuana. She’ll be facing a judge this morning.

LEONARDO DiCAPRIO SPACE AUCTION

Leonardo DiCaprio was part of a special auction item at the Cannes Film Festival. Last night a trip on Virgin Galatic space flight was auctioned off. The cherry on top of this auction item was that the winner would personally be escorted on the space trip by actor Leonardo DiCaprio. The winner of the space trip with Leo paid $1.5 million. Another auction item was a pair of tickets on the space flight which went for $1.8 million. The flight space flight is scheduled for later this year and seats are priced at about $200,000. Other auction items included two tickets to the after party of DiCaprio’s upcoming movie “Wolf on Wall Street” complete with a room at the Beverly Hills Hotel for Oscar weekend, a Chopard watch, tickets to the Weinstein party and admission to Elton John’s annual viewing bash. The lucky auction winner paid $2.3 million for that item.

Posted on Tuesday (May 21), O’Brien prefaced his video response to Swift’s “22″ by saying, “Taylor Swift is great. She’s very popular and talented but I know what it’s like to be 22.” He went on to say her video isn’t an “accurate representation of what it’s like to be 22.”

“When you’re 22 you’re not living in that apartment. You’re living in a really crappy $380 apartment in the Mid-Wilshire district in Los Angeles,” he said. “I didn’t see any Ramen Noodles in that video ’cause that’s all you’re eating when you’re 22.”

O’Brien went on to vent about what life as a 22-year-old was like for him.

“I didn’t see her having bad skin or being way, way too skinny,” he said. “When you’re 22 you don’t even go outside. There’s nowhere to go, there’s no one to talk to. You don’t have a girlfriend. People are like, ‘What are you, 6’4 and you have orange hair. What kind of name is Conan?’ You’re a freak so no one talks to you.”

Conan isn’t the first to react to Swift’s video. Fuse posted a parody of Swift’s “22″ with a slightly different approach.

Devastation throughout the community occurred when a monstrous tornado ripped through the area and left nothing but shattered hearts, loss loved ones, and homes torn apart.

At a time of devastation and desperation, it is up to the rest of our Country to pull together and be there for Oklahoma City.

Our very own country music star, Toby Keith, grew up in the neighborhoods where the tornado hit. His sister lost her house, which was only about one mile away from Keith’s mom’s house, the house that Keith grew up in.

Toby Keith was very active on his personal Twitter account when the tornado struck and said, “I rode my bike through those neighborhoods. I have family and friends in Moore. My heart and prayers go to those that have lost so much. But Moore is strong and we will persevere. God be with you all.”

As a community, it is our duty to help as much as we possibly can. Many of our listeners had reached out to K-FROG asking how to help rebuild the city of Moore. We had listened to each and every concern and looked further into making a difference.

We proudly announce that K-FROG and the American Red Cross will be at Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill at Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga from 7p.m.-10 p.m. on Friday night accepting donations in person. Please keep in mind, any type of donation will help.

As a community, we can only hope to help rebuild the city of Moore and give as much love as we can back to the victims who lost everything.

This week’s only visible blip, it seems, has been a comment Rucker received on Twitter. It wasn’t just any old rant from a disgruntled fan — it was overtly racist, saying, “Leave country to the white folk.”

Darius chose to reply and bring the issue to light.

As Rucker told USA Today, this kind of thing luckily “doesn’t happen often.” He adds that he wouldn’t necessarily have taken the bait, except that when he checked out the person’s account, he found he wasn’t the only person being attacked (the account has since been deleted and re-registered). And besides, Rucker should not need to justify why he called out someone who was attempting to spread such bigoted stereotypes.

“I don’t know who it was — some kid thinking he was cool, I guess,” Rucker said. “I read a couple of his tweets and was like, ‘This guy’s a real racist; he ain’t kidding.’” And so he concluded, “I have to expose this idiot.”

A pair of brothers is fighting officials in Ross, Pennsylvania to keep Christmas decorations up. William Ansell was ordered to remove his decorations or otherwise he would face a $3,000 fine. The fight over the Christmas decorations has been going on for 6 years. His brother is coming to his defense accusing the town of selective enforcement. He claims that there are other homes in the area violating the law with their weeds, building materials, and other issues.

A long time ago an asteroid hit Mars and pieces of the planet went into space. Eventually one of those pieces fell to Earth and was found in the Sahara desert. The piece of Mars that’s about 1 1/2 pounds is now for sale with an opening bid of $160,000.

JANET JACKSON IS A BILLIONAIRE

According to Variety, Janet Jackson has officially become a billionaire. Jackson has made her money in not only music, but her movies too. Jackson has earned $458 million for her concert tours, another $304 million from her acting, $260 million in album sales, and $81 million from her tour sponsorships and licensing fees. Jackson joins the billionaire club along with other celebrities likes Oprah, Steven Spielberg, and J.K. Rowling.

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGER AND MARIA SHRIVER GETTING BACK TOGETHER?

Rumors are flying that Arnold Schwarzeneger and Maria Shriver are getting back together. The couple split in 2011 after Anrold’s love child was revealed. The rumors may have some truth behind them though, because neither Arnold nor Maria has officially filed for divorce. The couple was also spotted together for their daughter’s graduation last weekend.

Vampire Weekend sold 134,000 copies of its third album Modern Vampires of the City, according to data from Nielsen SoundScan, while Strait’s 28th studio album sold 120,000.

According to Billboard, Love Is Everything is Strait’s 18th release that has landed in the top ten, putting him in a tie with Paul McCartney for fourth-most top tens among male artists (Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan, and Elvis Presley are the only men with more).

Love Is Everything also peaked at No. 1 on the Country Albums chart, extending Strait’s record of such albums to 25. Strait also scored his 60th No. 1 single on any chart across all genres — a major chart feat, though he was already holding the record for most singles — this past week, just before his 61st birthday (on May 18).

Another interesting tidbit reported by Billboard is that Vampire Weekend’s album is the 19th independently distributed record to reach No. 1 on the chart since SoundScan data was first recorded in 1991. The last indie album to top the charts was Jason Aldean’s Night Train last fall (released by Broken Bow).

The top five is filled out by Demi Lovato, who notches third place with Demi; The Great Gatsby soundtrack, which falls from second to fourth; and Lady Antebellum‘s Golden, which debuted in the top spot last week but now drops to a still-respectable fifth.

Country music closes out the top 10, too, with Pistol Annies‘ Annie Up hitting No. 9 and Blake Shelton’s Based on a True Story… notching No. 10.
