Little Big Town’s Pain Killer is true artistry, a welcome respite from much of the sound-alike, mindless party music being churned out by Nashville hit factories lately.
The country quartet said they named their new album ‘Pain Killer’ because they want to help listeners cope with the highs and lows of everyday life. “It has a bit of a vintage throwback to it,” Karen Fairchild told Radio.com, “but it’s strong.”
The World Series kicks off tonight (Oct. 21) in Kansas City, Missouri with a performance by Trisha Yearwood.
“It was like a two-night high,” bandmember Kimberly Schlapman explains to Radio.com, regarding the group’s invitation and then induction into the Opry.
